Filipinos know for a fact that the country is constantly being battered by storm after storm after storm. To compensate for that horrendous condition, your pack needs to contain several articles of clothing, a good amount of canned goods, a first aid kit, blankets or anything to keep you warm and water. If you are traveling or evacuating as a family, it would be good to pack based on the number of family members. The best practice is also to divide everything neatly so that every member of the family has something to carry going into the evacuation center.

Listen to authorities

One of the reasons why people survive scary typhoons in the Philippines is because they listen to authorities. Stock Up

Not all typhoons would require you to flee your home. There are some that will just require you to stay indoors and be ready for anything. If that would be the case and there’s no warning from the local government, then just stay inside and stock up. If the warning is done before the bad weather hits, then you can make the necessary preparations and buy all the things that you would need. So what are some of the things you need? Skipping the “survival bag” we mentioned earlier, you also have to have a transistor radio, power banks to charge your devices, food and water. If there’s a family member that’s sick, be prepared with his or her medication. Be ready to stock up on those too.
